Description
‘Sunspot’ – Science theory – End of days “myth”
The Sun has a 14 billion year life cycle. It is 4.6 billion years old.
In 1 billion years the extra solar energy coming from the Sun will evaporate our oceans.
There will be a total loss of water in 3 billion years.
In 4 billion years most of Earths atmosphere will be lost in space, leaving a dead planet with a surface of molten rock.
The Sun will become a red giant in approximately 5 billion years.
Its radius will expand to a minimum of two hundred times its current size.
The Sun will engulf the current orbits of the solar systems inner planets up to and including Earth. Mars and the outer planets may escape.
Before this happens Earths biosphere will have long been destroyed by the Sun’s increase in brightness.
The Sun will end as a black dwarf, ultra dense, about the size of Earth.
A million Earths could fit inside the Sun.
Small changes in the Sun’s activity will cause the Earth to warm or chill, create shifts in climatic zones, make deserts from green land. Alter the fate of civilisations.
Some of the sunspots on the Sun are larger than Earth.
Loops of superheated gas coming from the Sun reach the height of ten Earths.
Records of sunspots were kept by the Babylonians over 3000 years ago. By the Chinese as early as 800 BC. Sunspots were first recorded in Europe in the 5th century BC.
Accurate measurements of the movements of sunspots allowed astronomers like Galileo in the 17th century to demonstrate that the Sun was at the centre of the universe, not the Earth.
The Sun is neither too hot for us nor too cold. It is long living and well behaved. We are here in the form that we are in and on an Earth like we are on because of the nature of the Sun.
“Life exists as our sun exists, with its death will be ours, darkness will be death”. EJVH
